"Our room was spotless, service was great and we'll stay again" is typical praise for this "sleek" nonsmoker "in the heart of Greektown" (with its "excellent restaurants"), but also "accessible to major Downtown attractions"; the "modern" rooms come with balconies and "Euro-style furnishings", but the aquatically inclined must "walk four blocks" to get to a pool, and others complain about I-95 being "right outside" with "loads of traffic" noise.

Courteous staff, relatively clean and common areas.
Poor lighting, noise level, outrageous valet parking fees.

The in-room lighting was poor, especially in the bathroom. Noise level was high due to a nearby mechanical room. Valet parking cost more than the daily rental fee for the car; additionally, it was left outside and was returned covered with snow & ice. There was no ventilation fan in the bathroom & privacy was limited because a poorly-fitted sliding door was used, it's 2010 Crowne Plaza. And finally, the carpet was borderline filthy. I would not stay at this hotel again unless the quality was vastly improved and I was comped for the 4 days over which I did stay. ...read more

Staff was extra friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel.

Staff was very friendly and most helpful. The expressway is right there, but was no bother to us. Easy to access from the expressway. We did do a lot of walking around and when we got tired we hailed a cab. Everything is probably within 2 miles. I highly recommend this hotel especially for the price. ...read more

Didn't like the $36 on-site overnight parking fee.

The hotel was clean, everyone was very friendly. There were some loud people arriving very late.

Fast elevators.
Need to tip every time the car was retrieved from lot.

Hotel/ Room reminiscent of its Holiday Inn origin. The remodeling adds a lot in bathroom fixtures, furniture, and color scheme to raise one's expectation of a Holiday Inn.
